My first experience on a sailboat was not really an experience on a sailboat—more like bobbing in a cork with a stick and a little sail—but it was on water and it sailed! It's been quite a ride since those sunny California (reservoir) sails—from that little styrofoam SunFish to the beautiful sailing yacht "Wings of Eagles" which we owned jointly with Bill and Jan—sailing a wealth of types and sizes of boats that we have chartered in the Bahamas and the Straits of Juan de Fuca.

It's been fun for the whole family, and all but Barb and I have even become certified scuba divers on the side. We have crossed the Gulf Stream several times, in good weather and some very bad. (Somehow I have been able to avoid the very bad storms that the family have had to brave—thank Goodness!)

There has been a lot of sunning (and sun-burning), sailing, swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, snoozing and just sitting around—all fun and memorable. Take a look at the following stories and join our group for some fun in the sun!
